Laser Toner Facts & Information

Laser printers are very speedy that can give you prints in seconds. Although laser printers are little expensive than inkjet cartridge printer, but they are some laser printers that are of comparatively lesser price.

Laser printer uses laser toner to print the documents. Laser toner or the ink in the laser toner is a fine synthetic powder which contains small plastic particles, rubber, carbon black and basic colors all these are packed into the cartridge. The laser toner cartridge is than inserted into the laser printer as instructed in the user manual.

When the print command is given fro the computer to the printer, the laser toner printer performs several steps:

- Upon the release of the command the printer receives the image to be printed.
- The laser than projects this captured image to the drum which is electromagnetic.
- According to the image the drum is positively and negatively charged at the varying levels.
- According to the charges the colors are attracted towards the drum and main four colors are mixed to create different combination of colors.
- Lastly the drum rolls on the page which goes through heating device melting the color on the page forming the image and the page is ejected.
